About me

Hi, I'm Kate Vogel. Certified Health Coach, Personal Trainer
and Pre-& Postnatal Coach

I'm a health coach and trainer, mom to three- four if you count the original baby, our 80 lb. mutt Mitty (aka Mitzel Fritzel, Mitzy Fritzy, Wubbies, lol)- and lucky wife of my kick-ass husband, Steve.

I'm passionate about helping those women who found themselves labeled "Advanced Maternal Age” or "Geriatric Pregnancy" become strong and confident in their bodies after baby...because age really is just a number!!

I know first-hand that life as a new mom can be overwhelming, with lots of joy and lots of struggles. Feeling as though your body is on loan, exhausted from sleepless nights, juggling work and home life...

My mission is to help you navigate through it to help you get to the other side! I use my years of experience as a trainer, group exercise instructor, and coach to help motivate you, to push you where you might need some pushing, and to help you become that strong, healthy mom that you want to be.

It's all about creating realistic, fun programs that meet you where you are right now, but that also help push you to your next level of awesomeness.

I help you create the healthy habits that you'll be able to stick with that will have you keeping up with those kiddos for years to come.

You don't have to be defined by your age (or a label).

You can feel good in your body again!

My approach

to your health & fitness

My intention is to meet you where you are in your postpartum journey, and help you get where you want to be in a way that works for you, your body, and your life as a busy mom.

I don't believe in "fad diets", restricting calories, or doing workouts your hate just so you can "bounce back" in what others deem an appropriate amount of time postbaby!

Instead, I'll help you tackle the struggles of a woman over 40 experiencing life as a new mom, while taking the overwhelm out of starting a new health and fitness routine.

A little bit more about my story...

I grew up playing sports, and I loved everything about it- the camaraderie, the satisfaction of winning after putting in hard work, and also feeling so strong and athletic.

That turned into a passion for health and fitness when my playing days were over.

In my years working as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and coach, health and fitness was all around me. That made it easy to stay consistent. I thought (very naively!) that keeping up with my routine after becoming a mom would be pretty simple: pick up right where I left off, just add a tiny human!

Well *shocker*, I was wrong! Postpartum recovery is no joke, not to mention enduring the physical and emotional rollercoaster that is new motherhood. In the beginning, it was hard to find a balance between focusing on my new baby while also trying to focus on myself and my well-being. I struggled to find the motivation and wondered why, as a fitness professional who knew all the "right" things to do...wasn't it easier??

But being a new mom at 40, I knew that getting back to fitness and improving my diet wasn't just about vanity anymore. With a history of breast cancer in my family (my mom passed away at 48), it's now about being the strongest and healthiest I can be so that I can enjoy life with my children for years to come!
